On March 26, 2023, a handing-over event was held at Infant Jesus Catholic Church Mtwapa. The purpose of the event was to transfer leadership responsibilities from the outgoing official to the incoming one.

The outgoing moderator, Madam Lucy Nyambura, delivered a heartfelt speech in which she thanked her fellow leaders, all the Christians of Mtwapa for their dedication and hard work over the past several years. She highlighted several key accomplishments, including the completion of major infrastructure projects, the implementation of new policies and seminars, retreats, and recollections aimed at improving the Faith of the Christians She emphasized the importance of collaboration and teamwork in achieving these goals, saying, "None of this could have been accomplished without the hard work and dedication of all of Christians and the leaders elected She continued by saying that together, we have made Mtwapa Parish great for all who come to worship with us." The outgoing chairlady Lucy advises the incoming team that church service is about volunteering one's time, money, and comfort for the sake of God's people.

Church leadership is not about power and status but about servant leadership.
